MISSION:

Our mission, as the New Britain Emergency Medical Services is to provide unsurpassed emergency medical care by achieving clinical excellence, customer satisfaction, and community recognition.  This will be accomplished by integrating a team of highly skilled EMS professionals into the healthcare delivery system within the community

VALUES:

New Britain Emergency Medical Services, Inc. is in the business of saving lives. We provide unsurpassed emergency medical care by achieving clinical excellence, customer service, and community recognition. We are a non-profit organization that responds to 911 calls within the City of New Britain. The foundation and success of our service is based upon five important values:

CARING – Our paramedics and emergency medical technicians provide comfort and compassion to clients while giving excellent clinical care. Reassuring a patient and others is an essential ingredient in our service.

EXCELLENCE – NBEMS ensures that the staff receives high level and continuous training so that they can keep abreast of the latest and best practices that save lives.

SERVICE – NBEMS strives to meet acceptable response times after receiving a 911 call. We are instrumental in working with the fire department to provide a First Responder Service for the city in 2005. In addition, we inspect child safety seats, give community safety training, and volunteer to cover major city events.

TEAMWORK – Our staff is trained to work together, as many medical emergencies require more that one medical person to attend the patient. NBEMS has developed strong relationships with New Britain General Hospital Emergency Staff and other city safety personnel.

COMMUNITY – NBEMS is dedicated to improving the safety and quality of life for all residents and workers in New Britain.
